Heart Attack Risk with Mixing Celebrex and Aspirin

In a recent study has found that individuals who suffer from arthritis may be increasing their risk for heart attack if they also take a low dose of aspirin to actually prevent one. Many older Americans are taking low dose aspirin to prevent a heart attack and many of these same Americans suffer from arthritis and receive Celebrex to help relieve them of their symptoms. While each of these preventative measures are beneficial individually, together they may cause more harm than good. Researchers in the study believe that Celebrex decreases the effectiveness of the aspirin people who are at risk for heart attack take, leaving them susceptible.
